Activities respond to Vietnam Family Day 2014

Diverse activities are taking place in many localities nationwide this month to respond the

Vietnam Family Day 2014 (June 28) and the Vietnam Family Year 2014.

The Day highlights responsibility of leaders of ministries, committees, agencies, organizations and families in building comfortable, equal, advanced and happy family. The Vietnam Family Day 2014 appreciates warm family meal.

Besides, it creates a good chance to acknowledge outstanding families and honour the family’s role in preserving traditional culture and identity in the integration process.

In Hanoi, the Vietnam Family Day 2014 will take place at the Vietnam Exhibition Centre for Culture and Arts at No 2, Hoa Lu street, Hai Ba Trung district, from June 26-28, focusing on human personality development from moral education and lifestyle in family. Highlights of the event include a “talented family” contest and a conference on family and public healthcare clubs of Hanoi’s adjacent provinces and cities. There will also be sports and art performances, a singing contest and a seminar on enhancing the role of men in family.

In the central province of Ha Tinh, posters sending the message on warm family meal are hang in streets, centers and schools. The meal will be held from 5 pm to 8 pm on June 28 to respect minutes when getting together during family meal.

In the northern province of Bac Giang, on June 17, the provincial Women’s Association held an exchange to respond the day. The exchange focused on child breeding, habits in daily life, solutions to contradiction in family and sexual equality. The event contributed to encourage families to build equal, advanced and happy family.

In the southern city of Can Tho, the Standing Committee of the city Trade Union has sent the message of the Vietnam Family Day 2014 and polices related to family to workers, civil servants and labourers./.
