Vietnamese businesses support Lao victims of plane crash

(VOV) -The Association of Vietnamese Investors in Laos (AVIL) has donated US$47,000 to support families of victims of a military plane crash in Laos on May 17.


The donation was presented on May 19 by Pham Quang Tung, Deputy Director General of the Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam (BIDV).

Tung said the aid showed the empathy and good will of Vietnamese businesses operating in Laos. The plane crash has resulted in huge loss for families of victims, as well as the Lao people, he added.



On behalf of the Lao Government, Phetsakhon Duong Aphay, deputy head of the Governmental Office, expressed gratitude for Vietnamese businesses’ valuable support and their attention to ensuring Laos’ social welfare and providing aid to those in need.
