280 art photos of Vietnam’s 15 UNESCO-recognized intangible and tangible heritages are being showcased in northern Hai Phong City until next Tuesday.


The exhibit,

The photos offer glimpses of Vietnam’s 15 UNESCO-recognized heritages by 2013, including Quang Ninh Province’s picturesque Ha Long Bay, Hanoi’s imposing Thang Long Citadel, Thanh Hoa Province’s resplendent Ho Citadel, and Quang Binh Province’s Phong Nha- Ke Bang National Park in the north.



Hue City in central Vietnam’s Thua Thien Hue with its golden past as the country’s imperial city, and Hoi An Old Town and My Son Cham Tower in central Quang Nam province with their unique cultural blend between the native country and neighboring ones are also vividly portrayed in the photos.


The exhibit also showcases photos on Cat Ba Archipelago in Hai Phong Province, which makes up the southeastern edge of Ha Long Bay in northern Vietnam and maintains the breathtaking and rugged features of Ha Long Bay.


The archipelago was recognized by the UNESCO in December 2004 as one of the world’s Biosphere Reserves.


The exhibit also boasts photos on eight intangible and orally transmitted UNESCO-recognized, including “nha nhac Hue” (Hue court music), Central Highlands gong space, “quan ho” (Bac Ninh folk love duets), “ca tru” (northern ceremonial singing) as well as the recently-recognized “don ca tai tu” (southern folk music).
