(CPV) -

On the occasion of International Children’s Day (June 1), the Vietnam Museum of Ethnology will organize a programme for children on May 31 and June 1. The programme includes two parts, including homeland islands and folklore with children. The first part will create an opportunity for children to learn about Vietnamese sea and islands and raise their patriotic love for the fatherland. The second part will focus on folklore, children will enjoy folk songs in Bac Ninh and Hoa Binh provinces, study how to sing folk songs and enjoy an exchange with local artisans.

Handicraft workers from Hanoi’s Thanh Oai District will teach the children to make toys from bamboo. Performance art will be staged by the children featuring Vietnamese, Korean and Japanese clothes.

The programme aims to create a practical playing environment for children in summer and to nurture their love for cultural heritage and the homeland./.
