The crew making the reality T.V film series of advertising Vietnam tourism through cuisine culture-”Discovering Vietnam with Robert Danhi” has just arrived in Phu Yen. Through the focal character being the narrator-super chef Robert Danhi, the film series introduce the delicacy, particular features of sea and islands tourism of the rural peaceful region.


Oceanic tuna has been determined as one of the particular dishes of Phu Yen, from this, the film crew and Chef Robert Danhi began from the very first steps of preparing for processing tuna into the raw salad and herbal steamed tuna eyes. From here, the story is started, leading audience to the profession of oceanic tuna exploitation and the sights of intact sea and islands. The context selected for filming the tuna is on XepBeach. In the itinerary in Phu Yen province, chef Robert Danhi together with the film crew come to My Thanh Tay village of breeding mulberry and silkworm (Hoa Phong commune, Tay Hoa district) and the populous-lush Ngoc Lang flower village along Ba river; joining hands with the local men to catch blood oysters in O Loan lagoon and one national level architectural scenic spot located right in the city center-ancient Nhan Temple, the lifelong Cham cultural vestige.


Being an American super chef but Robert quickly integrates in the ingenious culture. Robert and the local men do the daily tasks and self process the folk dishes to introduce Vietnam cuisine culture to domestic and international tourists. Audiences with see the image of one foreign chef, natural and approachable when Robert is willing to wad in the mud to catch blood oysters or getting into the fields to cut vegetables…

The episode of discovering Vietnam with Robert Danhi is broadcast on HTV, VTV in the program “Active Vietnam tourism” and the channels on cuisine tourism like Asian Food Channel, the American PBS channel system in 2014.
