(Cinet)- On April 22, in Hanoi, Department of Fine Arts, Photography and Exhibition (MOCST) ) in collaboration with Vietnam Fine Arts Association, Vietnam University of Fine Art held launching ceremony of Young Fine art Festival 2014. Deputy Minister Vuong Duy Bien attended.
The event affirmed a care of the Party, the State and Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism (MOCST)for some works of fine arts to make some best works now and then.
According to organization Board, Young Vietnamese artists aged from 18 to 35 can take part in the festival by sending a maximum of two works. Artistic entries to the festival must have been created between 2011 and June 2014. Pieces that have previously been displayed at any national exhibition hosted by MOCST will not be considered. Candidates can sent to the Exhibition Centre of Fine Arts and Photography, 29 Hang Bai street, Hanoi from June 2-6.
Speaking at the launch ceremony, Deputy Minister of MOCST Vuong Duy Bien, who is acting as head of the festival’s steering board, described the festival as a chance for young artists across the country to show off their artistic talents.
Bien also stated that the event aims to reinforce the Party and State’s attention to young artists who will create cultural pieces for today and tomorrow, thus contributing to a strong national cultural identity.
