Many young artists honoured at the 2011 Young Fine Arts Festival



Nhan Dan – The 2014 Young Fine Arts Festival will exhibit the creative talent of young artists through their fine artworks.


Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Vuong Duy Bien, who is acting as head of the festival’s steering board, made the remark at a launching ceremony for the festival held at the Vietnam Fine Arts University in Hanoi on April 22.


He also said that the event has been organised to reinforce the Party and State’s attention to young artists who will create cultural pieces for today as well as tomorrow, thus contributing to a strong national cultural identity.


Young Vietnamese artists from 18 to 35 years old can submit up to two works.


Unpublished entries which have been created between 2011 and June 2014 should be submitted from June 2-6 to the Exhibition Centre of Fine Arts and Photography at 29 Hang Bai Street, Hanoi.


The festival will feature the most outstanding works in August 2014.
