(Cinet)- With a theme of “Quang Ninh – Convergence and Pervasion”, Ha Long Carnival 2014 opens at 8 P.M on April 30 in Hoang Quoc Viet, Hung Thang ward, Ha Long city.
The event, the eighth of its kind in the province, will include a wide range of activities, including an opening ceremony, low-range fireworks, and art performances by local and foreign art troupes. It aims to spotlight the province’s culture, tourism and cuisine, particularly the Ha Long Bay, a UNESCO-recognised World Natural Heritage site. The carnivalwill feature art performances, a fireworks show and a street parade of colourful costumes.
An annual event witnessed the participation of more than 5,000 actors and actresses, and welcomed 25,000 visitors.
Halong Carnival is a good occasion to make tourists closer to Halong’s cultural identities as well as natural beauty.
The festival is broadcasted live on VTV1, VTV4 of Vietnam Television.
