The turnover of Quang Ngai Sugar Joint Stock Company (QNS) reached VND 5,922 billion in 2013, an increase of 15 per cent as compared to the figure of 2012. The company also paid to the State budget VND 667 billion, a y-o-y increase of 48 per cent. These figures were revealed at its workers’ Conference held on 11 March to review the production and business results in 2013 and deploy key tasks for 2014.
The company kept its position as one of the 500 leading enterprises in Vietnam, ranking the 172th and the 48th in the top 500 largest enterprises and the 500 largest private enterprises in Vietnam respectively.
Also, as reported, the highlights of the company in 2013 are inaugurating Bac Ninh soybean milk factory with the capacity of 90 million liters per year; completion and putting into operation of the project on expanding processing lines of Dung Quat Brewery from 50 to 100 million litters per year; and the company’s sugar production capacity expanded up to 8,929 tons of sugar-cane per day.
Technical innovation initiative activities have been also strongly promote in the company, bringing high efficiency in the business production. In 2013, the company had 80 initiatives of more than 200 technical staffs and 7 topics getting prizes at the Quang Ngai Provincial Creative Contest.
Vinasoy soybean milk products of QNS reached 138 million liters in 2013, a y-o-y increase of 11%.
Besides the main task of production and business, income generation and living stability for workers have been fully and well implemented by the company. Currently, the Company owns 4,420 employees with their average monthly wage of 6.7 million dong.
In 2014, the company continues to improve the efficiency of production and business. The company plans to upgrade and expand the capacity of An Khe Sugar plant up to 18,000 tones per day; build a Bio-ethanol plant in Gia Lai province; promote the application of science and technology to production and business to improve product quality and reduce production and price costs.
