New exhibition makes maths fun

HA NOI (VNS) — An interactive exhibition on mathematics will be open to the public at the Goethe Institute in Ha Noi from March 26.

Entitled Mathematics You Can Touch, the exhibition is being organised by the Goethe Institute in collaboration with the “Mathematikum” from Germany’s Giessen town, which is the first interactive mathematics museum in the world.

The exhibition will display a selection of proven and established experiments from the exhibition in Giessen, which has received 1.5 million visitors since it opened 10 years ago.

Aiming to create a new approach towards mathematics, the Ha Noi exhibition offers different experiments which can be done by visitors of all ages and educational backgrounds. They can solve puzzles, build bridges, rack their brains while solving riddles, watch a sphere race, create soap bubbles and get involved with mathematics incidentally.

The exhibition will run till April 12 at 56-58 Nguyen Thai Hoc Street. —VNS
