German airline to halt flights to Vietnam

Germany’s Lufthansa Airlines will halt flights from Frankfurt to Ho Chi Minh City from March 31, said Vo Huy Cuong, deputy head of the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam (CAAV) on March 23.

In its notice sent to the CAAV, the airline said the halt is to restructure its flight network, he noted.

Lufthansa is the largest airline in Germany which has operated three flights per week from Frankfurt to Ho Chi Minh City for the past 25 years. It uses Airbus A346 and Boeing B747 on this route.-VNA
