Quang Ngai city
In his recently urgent document, Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee asked heads of related departments, agencies, People’s Committees of districts and city to promptly implement the Plan to adjust the administrative boundaries of Quang Ngai city and the establishment of Truong Quang Trong Ward (the new ward of Quang Ngai city).
With the prompt action, Department of Planning and Investment was assigned to chair and coordinate with related agencies and Son Tinh district People’s Committee in advising the PPC to allocate capital for new working location construction.
Chairmen of the districts’ People’s Committee of Son Tinh, Tu Nghia and Quang Ngai city were requested to guide related units to change and use their new seals since 01 April 2014 as the current regulations.
Earlier, Vietnam Government issued Resolution No. 123/NQ-CP on the adjustment of the administrative boundaries of Son Tinh and Tu Nghia districts to expand the administrative boundary of Quang Ngai city.
Accordingly, the Resolution adjusted 10,054.42 ha of natural land with 99,701 inhabitants of Son Tinh district (including Son Tinh town and 09 communes) and 2,243.48 ha of natural land with 46,165 inhabitants of Tu Nghia district (03 communes) to Quang Ngai City authority for management.
After adjusting, Quang Ngai city owns 16,015.34 hectares of natural land with 260,252 inhabitants and 23 wards and communes; Son Tinh district owns 24,341.31 hectares, 95,597 inhabitants and 11 communes; Tu Nghia district has 20,536.24 hectares, 128,333 inhabitants and 15 wards and communes.
