PPC Chairman Nguyen Van Cao receives the Ambassador of Denmark in Vietnam

On February 13, Mr. Nguyen Van Cao, Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee (PPC), received and worked with Mr. John Nielsen, Ambassador of Denmark in Vietnam. Attending the meeting were representatives of related departments.




Chairman Cao was happy to receive Mr. John Nielsen to ThuaThienHueProvince and highly appreciated new development in Vietnam – Denmark relations in the past years. He introduced briefly about the provincial potentialities and advantages, projects and sectors prioritized to call for investment, especially emphasized such potential sectors as tourism, industry, trade, culture, education and training. Mr. Cao suggested the Danish Embassy in Vietnam to call for investment of Danish enterprises in Thua Thien Hue in the sectors of green development, culture, tourism, industry, etc. and to build capacity for the provincial officials. ThuaThienHueProvince hopes to receive Danish ODA projects in Vietnam.


Mr. John Nielsen was grateful to Thua Thien Hue for supporting and facilitating Carlsberg Group and wished to know more about the provincial investment environment so as to introduce to Danish enterprises. According to him, future cooperation between both sides will be feasible for Denmark is interested in green development, renewable energy, climate change prevention, water-loss prevention, etc. Related to culture cooperation, as Chairman of Vietnamese-Danish Cultural Development and Exchange Fund (CDEF), Mr. John Nielsen promised that CDEF would think of supporting Thua Thien Hue based on the provincial suggestion. Especially in the near future, Denmark will send a famous music band to the Hue Festival 2014.


Taking this opportunity, Chairman Cao officially invited Mr. John Nielsen and his spouse to the Hue Festival 2014. The Ambassador promised to attend the Festival and hoped to be back to work in Thua Thien Hue for many times.
