An exhibition featuring old maps and other historical documents that show Viet Nam’s sovereignty over the Hoang Sa and Truong Sa archipelagoes openedin Bac Kan.
The event, titled “Viet Nam’s Hoang Sa and Truong Sa – Historical Evidence”, was co-organized by the Bac Kan Departent of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Department of Information and Communication and the Naval High Command. The event is an activity in response to the Party’s resolution on Vietnam Marine Strategy to 2020 aiming at the masses to introduce the historical evidence on Viet Nam’s sovereignty over the Hoang Sa (Paracel) and Truong Sa (Spratly) islands.
The exhibition brings historical values of sovereignty over Vietnam’s islands to ethnic minorities in Bac Kan. It will contribute to raising awareness, solidarity, awareness of local people, particularly youth members, students. The exhibition will provide further historical and legal evidence to prove that the country’s sovereignty over the Hoang Sa and Truong Sa archipelagoes existed over generations. The exhibition will be opened from 12 Feb to 19 Feb.
