In these days, the Binh Chau fishing harbor in Binh Son District, Quang Ngai province has been animated with the return of fishing ships with full of fresh tuna. Each fishing vessel caught an average of 1 – 3 tones of fresh tuna.
With the current price fluctuating from 50,000 to 55,000 VND per kilogram of fresh fish, each vessel may earn about 50 – 150 million dong.
Typically, Nguyen Xuan Hoa’s ship coded QNg 55538 TS caught over 3 tones of tuna only with a haul seine, earning profits of nearly 150 million dong. The ship coded QNg 90190 of Mr. Nguyen Thanh Tho also caught 1.5 tones of fresh tuna, earning profits of 70 million VND.
Thanks to abundant tuna season, the spirit of local fishermen is excited, so they work harder and hope for the next fishing trips.
