The northern mountainous Dien Bien province has restored many relics in Dien Bien Phu with an investment of over VND7 billion to mark the 60th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu historical victory.
The restoration is scheduled to be complete in April.
The headquarters of the Dien Bien Phu campaign is invested more than VND3 billion to restore the system of camps and tents, and the system of trails to the relics; VND1 billion is to build the model of Dien Bien Phu campaign events; and VND2.4 billion is to upgrade relics of cannon battlefield.
In the end of 2013, Dien Bien provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism took on projects to restore cultural and historical relics in the province. Since the beginning of this year, the department has upgraded several works in relics in Dien Bien Phu.
The provincial tourism sector is also building the model of the Dien Bien Phu campaign events at the showroom of the Dien Bien Phu historical victory museum. The work represents different periods in the Dien Bien Phu campaign to tourists to the museum./.
