Nhan Dan Online – A photography exhibition introducing Vietnamese traditional culture festivals opened on January 22 at the Exhibition and Fine Arts Centre in Hai Phong.

The event has been organised to welcome the upcoming Lunar New Year festival and to celebrate the 84th anniversary of the Communist Party of Vietnam (February 3).

On display are 130 photos taken by artists from across the country, which feature the beauty of Vietnam’s land, people and traditional culture, as well as the unique identity of Vietnamese ethnic communities.

Visitors to the exhibition have the opportunity to learn more about costumes, cultural activities, religious rituals, beliefs, customs and folk games celebrated at Vietnamese traditional festivals, as well as cultural heritage sites recognised by UNESCO.

Nearly 500 photos, historical documents and informational posters introducing the formation and development of Hai Phong city are also on display for the occasion.

The exhibition runs until February 6.
