That was directed by Mr. Tran Van Minh – Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee at the meeting with Tay Tra district Party Standing Committee on April 1st.
To well do this work, the district should have a specific project, a clear strategy, proposing innovative solutions in conformity with specific conditions of the locality. The district should review the effectiveness of targeted programs and projects in the locality from which to plan better in the future. He added.
As reported at the meeting, the poverty rate in the district -67%- was still higher than the country’s average figure.
Therefore, Minh urged the district to give top priority to hunger elimination and poverty reduction; further promote investment in education, help local people convert farming habits, etc. thereby accelerate sustainable poverty alleviation.
In addition, he also requested the district government to pay due attention to Party building work and have a long-term human resources development strategy.
