The HCM City Tourism Festival 2019 is set to showcase a wide range of promotional programs launched by travel companies aimed at stimulating tourism activities.
The annual event is expected to see 40 businesses from HCM City and 30 from provinces and cities nationwide to pitch up across 150 pavilions.
This year, nearly 70,000 low-cost domestic and foreign tours will be sold at between VND100,000 and VND500,000. Some of the tours on offer will enjoy discounts of between 20 and 50 per cent.
Notably, a number of one-day tours around HCM City to popular tourist attractions will be on offer at the price starting of VND275,000 each.
In addition, visitors will have the chance to taste a range of local delicacies at food zones at the event and receive attractive gifts.
A string of events are planned for the event, including a ceremony to honour 100 of HCM City’s leading tourism trademarks in 2019, a forum to discuss human resources for Vietnam’s tourism industry, and a talk on running a hotel business in the era of digital technology.
This year, HCM City is aiming to welcome 8.5 million foreign arrivals, a 14 per cent increase from last year.
