Vietnamese cuisine a hit among foreigners

Michael, a tourist from France, says he and his wife have booked a two-week tour to Vietnam in order to experience a taste of local life, enjoy a variety of delicious Vietnamese dishes, and learn how to make some of the dishes themselves. The French couple comes from the French city of Bordeaux where there are many Asian restaurants. They often visit them to enjoy Vietnamese spring rolls and are eager to learn how to make the dish. The French couple learns how to make Vietnamese spring rolls under the guidance of culinary artisan Anh Tuyet in Ma May street, Hanoi. Artisan Anh Tuyet says foreigners particularly enjoy going to the market in order to gain an insight into the different spices used in Vietnamese dishes. Being a culinary artisan, she wants to introduce Vietnamese cuisine to the world This is the first time that Michael has attempted to cook spring rolls. He and his wife are eager to note down the recipe. Professor Tran Quoc Vuong mentions that, along with Chinese and French gastronomy, Vietnamese cuisine is one of the most popular in the world. Visitors to the nation often show a keen interest in traditional dishes such as Pho (Vietnamese noodle soup), Bun Cha (fresh vermicelli and grilled pork), and spring rolls.
