If customers visit at night, they will find plastic chairs and tables are arranged on the pavements and might struggle for any seating at all on the weekends. Shop owner Le Thuy Phuong, 57, says her shop has been open for 18 years. She maintains that throughout that time, the shop has kept up its quality. Refreshing sweet tea is a great way to escape the summer heat, with many famous drinks on offer such as Che sau rieng (Durian sweet tea), Che khuc bach (sweet pudding tea) and Che khoai (sweet potato tea). Che khoai (sweet potato tea) has been a popular drink among youths since 2017. It contains different colour of potatoes, mixed with jelly and cream. A visit to Nguyen Tri Phuong street where a cup of sweet potato tea can be bought for VND25,000 should not be missed. Shop owners also prepare plastic cups so guests can take away their order.
