Residents and tourists flocked to the park to buy tours on April 15 when the festival wrapped up. Director of the municipal Department of Tourism Bui Ta Hoang Vu, said after the festival, tourist agents collected around VND83 billion ($$3.6 million), an increase of 38 percent compared to same period last year.
More than 9,000 people bought tours at the festival which attracted over 320,000 visitors thanks to its good preparation with decoration and interesting promotion programs.
Along with this, at the festival, the organizer held ceremony to honor leading tourist brand names , musical performance, forum of online tourist trend 2018 which helped the festival mark its name in visitors.
On the same day, the Department of Tourism and the Tourist Association in Ho Chi Minh City jointly hosted a meeting to review four year cooperation program between HCMC – Binh Thuan – Lam Dong for the period 2013-2018.
Representatives from the central province of Binh Thuan and the central highlands province of Lam Dong said that so far, businesspersons from HCMC invest half of tourist projects in these provinces. Despite investment and connection between three places, tourist activities is not as good as expectation.
Some participants said that in addition to asking travelers to pay high price in tourist peak season and poor quality gifts for holiday-makers, leaving litter in every corners of tourist places are blamed for a reduction of tourists.
