Vietnam Airlines moves to Heathrow Airport

Two men point to a backdrop that reads: “Heathrow welcomes Vietnam Airlines to Terminal 4”. Vietnam’s flagship carrier said on April 1 that it had switched to using Heathrow Airport in the UK, instead of Gatwick Airport. Heathrow Airport offers more connecting flights to other parts of the UK and destinations over the world, said John Holland-Kaye, CEO of Heathrow Airport. Operating at Heathrow, Vietnam Airlines can better serve both business and leisure passengers traveling between the two countries. Vietnam Airlines plans to use the Boeing B787-9 Dreamliner for its flights to London from mid-2015 and increase the number of weekly flights from four to seven next year.
