Increased investment in highlands district

Established in 2011, Lam Binh district in the northern mountainous province of Tuyen Quang has an area of 78,000 hectares, and is home to over 31,000 people, mainly Tay, Dao and Mong ethnic minority people.

To increase people’s living standards over the past years, Lam Binh district has used State investment to upgrade and build dozens of traffic, irrigation, water supply, educational and cultural constructions, while well realizing different policies, including giving housing, seedlings, animals and loans support to poor families.

So far 95% of the district’s population has access to power and safe water, gained an average income of VND15.2 billion, and reduced the poverty rate by 5% compared to 2015.
