Speaking at the conference, Deputy Minister Le Dinh Tho asked Hanoi Department of Transportation to implement a number of comprehensive measures to enhance the efficiency of intercity passengers transportation.
In order to create favourable conditions for people travelling during the Tet holiday, the municipal Transportation Department asked all bus stations in the city to have plans to add cars, increase flights, stabilize rates, ensure meeting transportation needs of people with the best quality service.

The city’s Police force said the sector collaborated with the munipal Transport Inspectorates in organising and regulating traffic for each area, especially the key roads such as 3 Ring road, the National route 1 , 2 and 5.
Deputy Minister Le Dinh Tho said that inspectors of the Ministry of Transport and Traffic Police Agency will also coordinate with Hanoi’s authorities to maintain traffic order and safety in the capital city.
According to Vice Chairman of Committee on the National Traffic Safety Khuat Viet Hung, one of causes of traffic congestion and insecurity is arbitrary parking on roads, particularly on the highways.
So, Hanoi’s authorities should promote the propaganda and persuading for local residents to eliminate this phenomenon.
Acquiring the above proposals, Deputy Director of Hanoi Transport Nguyen Hoang Linh said, the Department will direct the city’s Transportation Inspector and Traffic Police to coorginate in boosting the patrols and treating timely violations.
After the meeting, Deputy Minister Le Dinh Tho went to check the operation in bus stations of Yen Nghia, My Dinh, Giap Bat, and Noi Bai International Airports in the preparation for passenger services during Tet holiday.
