In making the announcement, a representative from the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism said they estimated the four-day event would attract 65,000 visitors and feature an abundance of travel specials from participating businesses.
The event will be staged on a much grander scale with more countries and exhibitors than in previous years, hoping to provide a kick start to an exciting and profitable tourism year, the representative said.
Under the theme of ‘Vietnam – The Land of Heritages’, VITM Hanoi 2015 will also aim at promoting Vietnam’s UNESCO listed heritage sites and other popular travel destinations.
A large number of international forums for scholars, travel experts, policy makers and CEOs to exchange on the tourism industry and dilate on the trends, direction, solution and development of Vietnam and global tourism industry have also been planned.
In addition, the event will include a series of activities such as seminars and workshops on destination and marketing, training and employment opportunities, traditional culinary demonstration and cultural performances.
