HCMC – In a written document sent to the Ministry of Transport, the Civil Aviation Administration of Vietnam (CAAV) has proposed the ministry ask the Government to grant a business license for general aviation for Tan Cang Offshore Travel and Flight Services Joint Stock Company (JSC).
According to the company’s plan endorsed by CAAV, the company will operate two small aircraft or helicopters for tourism in the south-central region of the country next year.
The company will provide general aviation services such as air taxi, geological survey, topographic filming, and medical emergency transfer and rescue in the long run.
The company is headquartered at 722 Dien Bien Phu Street in HCMC’s Binh Thanh District, specializing in coastal and offshore passenger transport.
If the company obtains the Government’s permission, it will become Vietnam’s fifth general aviation service provider, the other four being Hai Au Aviation JSC, Globaltrans Air JSC, Hanh Tinh Xanh JSC, and Vietnam Helicopter Corporation.
General aviation companies often operate small-sized aircraft to offer services like air travel and geological survey.
