The event is expected to offer visitors a chance to learn more about the culinary culture of countries around the world via unique dishes, according to Nguyen Thi Anh Hoa, Deputy Director of Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism.
The event also aims to preserve and promote the culinary culture of Vietnam and other countries throughout the world.
The festival also includes interesting activities such as several workshops on cooking skills, traditional art performances, wine and coffee tastings, and a photo display on cuisine.
At the festival, the Ho Chi Minh City Cuisine House will feature special foods from 24 districts in the city, honouring cuisine artisans and organisations in the food services sector.
In addition, visitors also have an opportunity to meet Vietnamese Masterchef Ngo Thanh Hoa (2013 season) and take part in cooking classes featuring dishes from the Republic of Korea (RoK) and Vietnam.
