A race team of Binh Thanh District won the Ho Chi Minh City traditional boat race on Nhieu Loc-Thi Nghe canal which ended on December 25.

The team of the Military Zone 7 High Command in Ho Chi Minh City earned the 2nd position. The third place went to Tran Gia Company.
The competition attracted 321 participants of 10 race teams. The race covers 400km stretch of Nhieu Loc- Thi Nghe Canal, starting from Dien Bien Phu Bridge to Thi Nghe Bridge.
The race that has been held annually since its first launch in 2012 on the cross- city canal, aims to welcome the New Year and call people to keep the city’s green and clean environment, particularly fresh environment for city’s canal systems.
