Danang resort named world’s leading luxury resort for 3rd consecutive year

InterContinental Danang Sun Peninsula Resort has again been honored by the World Travel Awards (WTA) as World’s Leading Luxury Resort at the grand final gala ceremony which was held at The Sun Siyam Iru Fushi, Maldives on December 2.This is the third consecutive year the resort has been honored with this very prestigious award.

Mr. Juan Losada, resort’s General Manager, said: “We are extremely proud to have retained this top worldwide award for the third consecutive year. With the goal of delivering its promise “Where Myth Meets Luxury”, the Resort has held numerous high-profile international and domestic events and it continues to redefine luxury resort experience worldwide.
Prior to this accolade, the InterContinental Danang Sun Peninsula Resort was named as the “Best Resort Hotel in Asia-Pacific” by the Business Traveller at the luncheon ceremony at Conrad Hotel Hong Kong and has made it among the 21 Most Beautiful Beachfront Hotels in the World, as published by CNN in September; and crowned the Heartbeat Excellence Rewards at the 2016 AMEA Leaders Learning Event at the InterContinental Sydney by the IHG (InterContinental Hotels Group) in April.

The resort earlier was also recognized as the 2016 Vietnam’s Leading Resort and 2016 Vietnam’s Leading Spa Resort by the World Travel Awards.

In addition, American tourism magazine Conde Nast Traveler announced the winner of its 2016 Reader’s Choice Awards, and the InterContinental Da Nang Peninsula Resort was named the best resort in the Asia.

The InterContinental Danang Sun Peninsula Resort has recently received many celebrities and politicians. It was selected to host important international events, such as Creative Connection International Conference with the participation of over 100 investors and politicians, the World Spa Awards 2015. It will be a venue for activities within the framework of Summit 2017, including APEC leaders’ meeting.
