The centre, which is located at ACB building at 218 Bach Dang street, Hai Chau district, will be open from 8:30am to 5:00pm every day (Monday to Friday).
The operation of the centre will create favourable conditions for Vietnamese people in the central region to apply for a visa to the UK or Australia, instead of having to travel to Hanoi or Ho Chi Minh City.
British Deputy Ambassador to Vietnam Stephen Lysaght affirmed that the British Government is committed to improving the visa application service for Vietnamese nationals.
In addition to opening the centre in Da Nang, the embassy will launch an e-visa application process as well as provide documents in Vietnamese to help citizens learn more about the necessary requirements, he added.
The Deputy Ambassador expressed his hope that the centre in Da Nang would enhance tourism as well as expand trade and educational co-operation between the UK and Vietnam.
There are a number of additional services offered at the centre including emergency visa issuance, application submission without appointment, paper certification, translation, photocopying and overtime appointments.
