Travelers to Mai Chau District in the northern mountainous province of Hoa Binh should not miss a trip to visit Pom Coong, a village of Thai ethnic minority people. There are only 70 stilt houses in the village where people are still doing farming alongside tourism.
Many people in Pom Coong currently still stick to their job of making brocade products while others help entertain tourists by traditional music performances or serving local specialties made from pork and chicken.
People in Pom Coong do their tourist services quite professionally. Guests can stay at stilt houses and rent motorbikes to explore the place.
