Viet Nam attends IFTM Top Resa 2016 in France

(TITC) – From September 20 – 23, Viet Nam National Administration of Tourism (VNAT) in collaboration with Ha Noi Tourism Department participate in the International French Travel Market (IFTM) Top Resa.

In the framework of the event, VNAT and Ha Noi Tourism Department, Vietnamese Cultural Centre in France, Viet Nam Tourism Association and tourism enterprises jointly organized various cultural and tourism promotion activities such as: Tourism Investment Conference, Conference on promoting tourism of Ha Noi and Viet Nam, Vietnamese Culture – Tourism Night Gala… Vietnamese Ambassador to France Nguyen Ngoc Son and Viet Nam Tourism Ambassador to France Anoa Suzanne Dussol Perran took part in these activities.

Information about tourism and investment policies, tourist attractions of Ha Noi Capital and Viet Nam has been introduced to the international audience, confirming the quality, safety and hospitality of Viet Nam tourism environment.

At the event, Viet Nam’s tourism enterprises have actively exchanged information to seek cooperation opportunities, signed memorandum of understanding on tourists exchange with international partners.

The IFTM Top Resa is the biggest (B2B) international tourism event in French-speaking tourist markets, has been annually organized in Paris since 1978. Expected to welcome over 30,000 visitors, this year, the international tourism fair attracted more than 1,500 booths of tourism enterprises, countries and territories worldwide.

In 2015, there was 211,636 French arrivals to Viet Nam, being the biggest source market among Western European countries. In the first 8 months of 2016, Viet Nam received 166,091 French arrivals, increasing 13.4% over the same period last year. France and 4 other Western European countries (United Kingdom, Germany, Italy and Spain) have enjoyed one-year visa extension approved by the Vietnamese Government since July 1, 2016.
