The 25R/07L runway of Tan Son Nhat International Airport re-operated at 5: 30 pm on July 20 earlier than expected after its runway closed for repair due to lighting in a thunderstorm on July 19.

The Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam said that the repair time for the runway had affected to flight exploitation of Tan Son Nhat International Airport from 42 to 32 flights per hour.
Therefore, domestic airlines like Vietnam Airlines, Jestar Pacific, Vietjet Air must delay and reschedule their flights.
Vietnam Airport Corporation directed relevant units to focus on quickly finishing runway repair to minimize the effects for exploitation plan of both domestic and international airlines.
