The Hanoitimes – The General Statistics Office (GSO) said in the first four months of this year, the number of international tourists to Vietnam reached 3,248,634 arrivals, increasing by 17.8% against the same period last year.
In April, Vietnam received 789,484 foreign visitors, with 661,484 of them arriving by air, 13,569 by sea and 114,431 by land.

Hong Kong (China) leads among countries and territories with the fastest growth of tourist to Vietnam with a rise of 143.3%, followed by China at 47%, the Republic of Korea 30.2%, Italy 29.2%, Sweden 27.1% and England 23%.
In the reviewed time, the number of local tourists reached about 22.8 million arrivals.
Total revenue from tourism in the period earned 135,796 billion VND increasing by 19.6% over the same period of 2015.
