Vietnamese budget carrier VietJet Air (VJA) said that it will increase 140 flights from April 28 to May 4 to meet the travelling demand of passengers in the upcoming national holidays.
The low-cost carrier’s total flights in a day are 246 , 66 percent higher than same period last year.
Additional flights will be made on 4 routes including Ho Chi Minh City – Central City of Da Nang with 14 return flights a day, an increase of 4 flight; HCMC – Phu Quoc Island in the Mekong delta province of Kien Giang with 7 return flights a day; Hanoi – Phu Quoc with 4 return flights and Hanoi – Da Nang with 10 return flights a day.
Flights for other routes also increased compared to last year; for instance there are 21 return flights a day for HCMC -Hanoi route; five return flights per day for HCMC-the central province of Thua Thien-Hue route; six return flights per day for HCMC-Vinh City in the central Vietnam; HCMC- Hải Phòng route having 6 – 7 return flights daily; HCMC – Thanh Hoa Province in the North Vietnam; Hanoi-Cam Ranh in the Central with five return flight everyday and Hanoi- Da Lat in the Highlands with three return flights a day.
