PANO – The Hanoi municipal Department of Culture and Sports, in association with the Military Zone 5 Museum, a branch of the Ho Chi Minh Museum in Da Nang, opened an exhibition themed, “Stories about Generals imprisoned in colonial prisons” on March 22nd.

The event is to mark the 41st anniversary of Da Nang’s Liberation Day and the anniversary of the South Liberation and National Reunification Day, and to encourage patriotism among young people. It is also a chance to express gratitude to soldiers who sacrificed their lives for national independence and freedom.

As many as 200 photos, documents and objects highlighting the revolutionary careers of 25 outstanding Generals of the Vietnam People’s Army, especially those who were engaged in the MZ5 battlefield and made great contributions to the victory of the nation, such as Nguyen Chanh, Pham Kiet, Tran Quy Hai and Nguyen Don.

The exhibition will last untill April 10th.
