A doctor at Cam Ranh General Hospital in Khanh Hoa Province removes a 6-cm leech from the Raglay ethnic man’s nose on February 25, 2016.
A man in the south central province of Ninh Thuan had a leech removed from his nose on Thursday after it had been there for two weeks.
The 47-year-old man his nose had constantly itched and bled and he had difficulties breathing even since he washed his face and drank some water from a stream while working in a field.
He went to local hospitals and was prescribed anti-inflammation medicine for his sinuses, which obviously did not help.
On Thursday he went to the Cam Ranh General Hospital in neighboring Khanh Hoa Province, where doctors removed a 6cm long leech, which was still alive, from his nose.
He is now normal.
