The Steering Board for Hai Duong Provincial Phu Dong Sports Festival (PDSF) on January 4 morning opened the PDSF’s 9th Football Tournament for Primary School Pupils.
The 9th Football Tournament for Primary School Pupils of Phu Dong Sports Festival features 12 teams with the participation of 144 pupils
The tournament is being held from January 4 – 7 at the Provincial Gymnasium. All districts, the provincial town, and the city have participating teams. Each team consists of 12 pupils selected from district PDSFs.
The teams were divided into four groups to compete in a round-robin format to choose two best teams in each group for knockout quarterfinals to choose the champions.
Based on the competition result at the Provincial PDSF, the Organizing Board will choose typical pupils to attend the 9th Regional and National PDSFs.
The opening ceremony of the Provincial PDSF is scheduled for March 10, 2016. Teams will play seven sports, in which primary schoolboys’ minifootball is the first sport to be organized.
