PANO – As many as 200 actors, aged no more than 27, will join the Vietnam-Laos-Cambodia Young Circus Talent Contest held at the Vietnam Circus and Vaudeville School in Hanoi this year, as heard at a press briefing on December 1st.
Six circus teams, including four from Vietnam, one from Laos and one from Cambodia, will compete in five categories of somersaults, jugglery, balance, magic and clown from December 8th-12th.
Mr. Nguyen Dang Chuong, Head of the Department of Performing Arts of the Vietnam Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism said that the even aims to strengthen solidarity and ties between the three countries. It also provides an opportunity for young circus talents in the region to learn from each other for the development of the arts, he added.
The organizing panel will present gold and silver medals to most outstanding individuals and groups of artists as well as pick out the best director and the best coach.
