VASCO will use its ATR-72 aircraft configured with 67 seats to operate services between Can Tho and Nha Trang cities on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays with air-tickets from VND399,000 to VND1.9 million per passenger including taxes and fees. It will take the carrier more than one hour to fly the new route.

Vietravel and its partners will resume chartered fights on the Can Tho-Bangkok route to meet high demand for air travel of tourists between the Mekong Delta and Thailand during the upcoming Lunar New Year holiday (Tet). Fights will be conducted after Tet, which falls in early February.

Last week, Vietravel, VASCO and the governments of Can Tho City and Lam Dong Province re-launched the Can Tho-Dalat service after a period of suspension following flights in May this year.

VASCO operates chartered flights from Can Tho to the hilly resort city of Dalat and vice versa on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays. ATR-72 aircraft with 67 seats is used for the route with the flying time of more than one hour.

As scheduled, flights take off at Lien Khuong airport in the Central Highlands province of Lam Dong at 12:55 p.m. and Can Tho City at 2:25 p.m. Tickets cost from VND399,000 to VND1.55 million per passenger including taxes and fees.

Truong Van Vinh, director of Vietravel in Can Tho and the Mekong Delta region, said the resumption of Can Tho-Dalat service aims to satisfy local people’s demand for air travel between the two cities.

Vinh said the number of domestic and foreign visitors to Mekong Delta provinces and Dalat City has increased sharply in recent times. Therefore, such chartered flights will support this growth.

Vietravel plans more chartered flights connecting popular tourist sites in Vietnam and overseas in the coming time.
