(VOV) – Vietnam’s young tennis player Ly Hoang Nam defeated Canadian rival Stevenson Kelsey 2-1 in the second round of International Tennis Federation (ITF) Men’s Futures Tennis Tournament in Indonesia on April 2.
In the first set, Nam (placing 1,587th in the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) rankings) beat Kelsey (1,669th) 6-3.
A similar score was repeated in the second set but this time the Canadian rival gained a victory.
The situation was reversed in the third set. Nam triumphed Kelsey with the same score of 6-3.
Nam’s next rival will be Indonesian player Christopher Rungkat (placing 579th in ATP rankings and seed No.2 of the tournament).
