PANO – The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Hanoi on December 29th held a ceremony to honour 15 outstanding athletes of 2015.
This year, Hanoi took the lead in the 7th National Physical and Sports Festival, contributing 30% of the athletes and snatching 34.25% of all the gold medals of the Vietnam’s sports delegation at the SEA Games 28 in Singapore.
The sport profession is a special career requiring athletes to work very hard and sacrifice their youth. Meanwhile, the timespan of the job is comparatively short. Therefore, honouring outstanding athletes will encourage generations of athletes to make more efforts, and contributions to the nation.
The outstanding athletes of 2015 are:

5. Duong Thuy Vi (Wushu)

8. Vu Thanh An (International Fencing)
9. Nguyen Thi Le Dung (Fencing)
10. Le Nghia (Archery)
11. Ha Thi Linh (Boxing)
12. Nguyen Thi Huyen Phuong (Boxing)
13. Ha Thi Nguyen (Taekwondo)
14. Vuong Thi Huyen (Weight-lifting)
15. Hoang Quang Trung (Pencak Silat)
