VGP – A newly-issued resolution on the Cabinet’s October meeting asked ministries, agencies and localities to continue improving business climate; ensure goods suppy and demand balance during the year end; and enhance administrative reform along with measures to boost IT application, develop e-government to fulfill set socio-economic targets.
The State Bank of Viet Nam was required to follow the market’s changes, control monetary tools to stabilize the monetary and foreign exchange markets and exchange rates with regard to the fiscal policy to ensure the economy’s balance, as well as the banking system’s safety.
The Ministry of Planning and Investment and the Ministry of Finance (MOF) were asked to work with other ministries, agencies and localities to devise detailed State budget and public investment plans for 2016 to ensure assigments on socio-economic development are completed as scheduled.
The Ministry of Industry and Trade was assigned to work with other ministries, agencies and localities to enhance market management and ensure goods demand and supply balance during the year end.
The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development was required to enhance restructuring the agricultural sector, preventing natural disasters and controlling the quality of agricultural products and materials.
The Government assigned the Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs to ensure social welfare, vocational training and job creation, especially for rural, remote, ethnic and natural disaster affected regions.
The Ministry of Health was asked to improve the quality of health care services; reduce overload at central hospitals; and speed up regulations on medical costs.
The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism was required to work with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Public Security (MOPS) and other relevant agencis to study and suggest visa exemption for tourists from several countries.
The Ministry of Transport was assigned to quicken important transport projects and coordinate with theMOF and localities to control the declaration of transport charges.
The MOPS was steered to take measures to prevent and curb crimes’ increase; ensure political security, social order and safety; and enhance traffic safety and order.
The Ministry of Information and Communications was required to better communication on Party and State policies and the Government’s directions to create consensus in society while enhancing measures to manage and prevent fabrications.
The Government also planned to submit a wage raising plan in the National Assembly’s next session and increase budget for two national target programs while deciding a nine-day holiday for the upcoming lunar New Year.
