The Traditional Village Tourism and Culture Festival 2015, attracting 14 provinces and cities from across the country, will be organized at Quan Ngua Sport Palace from October 7th – 11th. (Photo: VNA) Under the theme “Traditional quintessence – Integration and Coverage “, the event aims to honor the traditional cultural values and promote cooperative relations in tourism development between tourism businesses in Hanoi and the rest of the nation. The traditional craft villages and businesses will showcase some 300 booths displaying products and services relevant to their locations. Mr. Truong Minh Tien, Deputy Director of Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports said the Festival is held annually to contribute to honoring, preserving and developing traditional handicraft villages in Hanoi in particular and in other provinces and cities nationwide in general. He added, the festival will create a chance to introduce the traditional handicraft products of villages in and around Hanoi and seeks to promote the villages’ tourism potential./.
