VN’s top players to compete at 2015 Badminton World Champs

VietNamNet Bridge – Nguyen Tien Minh and Vu Thi Trang will be competing at the 2015 Badminton World Federation Championships in Jakarta from August 10 to 16.

In the men’s singles category, Minh will face South Korea’s Lee Don-keun, who is ranked 33rd in the world.

Minh met Lee at the Yonex All England Open in 2014, where he was defeated 21-18, 16-21, 16-21.

In the women’s singles, world No 40 Trang will face Grace Gabriel from Nigeria, who is ranked 80th in the world.

The 2015 championships are expected to draw 400 of the world’s top players representing five continents.

At last year’s championships, Carolina Marin of Spain and Chinese Long Chen won women’s and men’s singles titles, respectively.
