Jetstar Asia has announced the opening of direct flights between Singapore and Da Nang, starting on November 27.
This is the first time Jetstar Asia has flown budget flights between Singapore and Vietnam’s central region.
According to Jetstar Asia there will be three round-trip flights each week, on Tuesday, Saturday and Sunday, on Airbus A320 aircraft, which has a capacity of 180 seats, with all being economy class. Tickets will start from around VND1.5 million ($70) one way.
The airline also said that over the last three years the number of passengers visiting the central region has increased sharply, with international visitors rising by 25 per cent. Along with visa exemptions for many countries in Europe, the new route is expected to stimulate Vietnam’s tourism growth.
To mark the opening of the new routes, Jetstar Asia is holding a promotion offering free tickets on the return leg. The promotion will run from August 4 to 6, on flights departing from November 27 to December 10 this year.
