Vietnam’s No. 1 female swimmer, Nguyen Thi Anh Vien has continually improved her personal records. However, she lost her place to compete in the women’s 200m individual medley final in the 2015 world championships in Kazan (Russia).

She finished the competition with 2:13:29, in compare with 2:13:41 in the afternoon’s qualifying round, and her record gold medal 2:13:53 in SEA Games 28.

Placing 8th position, the swimmer from Can Tho city could not compete with the other world leading names in this category. Her UK rival, Siobhan Marie O’Connor, cleared the bar first with 2:08:45.

Anh Vien registered five categories, but finally to compete three, including women’s 200m individual medley (August 2nd), women’s 200m individual free-style (August 4th) and women’s 400m individual medley (August 9th).

Her teammate, Hoang Phuoc Quy will compete in men’s 200m individual free style on August 3rd, while Tran Duy Khoi to play in men’s 200m individual medley and Lam Quang Nhat in the 1,500m event./.
