Record rates for Vietnam vs Manchester tickets

Tickets for the friendly match between Viet Nam and European giant Manchester City on July 27 will sell at a record price.

According to a meeting between the representatives of SHB Bank and Viet Nam Football Federation on June 30, the face value of tickets for the best seats will be VND1.8 million (US$85). That has been the highest price for any football event held in Viet Nam.

The other seats are priced at VND1.5 million ($70), VND1 million ($50), and VND600,000 ($28).

Tickets for the Viet Nam-Arsenal game two years ago were lower at: VND1.5 million ($70), VND1 million ($50), VND700,000 ($30) and VND400,000 ($20).

Tickets will reach fans through different channels, including state companies and organisations, VFF stalls, and switchboard No.1080.

As planned, Manchester City will arrive in Viet Nam on July 25. They will participate in several community activities during their three-day tour of Viet Nam.

Manchester City have pledged to bring their top players such as Sergio Aguero, Vincent Kompany, Yaya Toure, and David Silva to Viet Nam.

Khanh Hoa beat Da Nang to top beach football event

Khanh Hoa defeated Hy No Da Nang 3-1 in the second round of the first leg of the National Beach Football Championship on June 30.

With this win, Khanh Hoa, who crushed Thua Thien-Hue 2-1 in the first round, topped the event rankings with six points. With three points each, Hue and Da Nang stood at the second and third positions, respectively.

In other match played earlier, Thuan An-Thua Thien Hue bested Sai Gon Nhan Tin 7-3.

Today, Da Nang will meet Thua Thien-Hue and Nhan Tin will face Khanh Hoa.

The US$1,400 event will run until this Sunday.
