V.League 1 occupy all seats in National Cup competition

HA NOI (VNS) — Ha Noi T&T will play Hoang Anh Gia Lai in the quarter-finals of the National Cup on Wednesday.

The former national champions trounced Quang Ninh Coal 5-2, with four of the goals of the visitors scored in the last 20 minutes, in the 1/8 round on Saturday.

Hoang Anh Gia Lai on their home turf defeated People’s Police 4-2.

In other matches, Becamex Binh Duong beat Quang Nam 2-1. They will play Song Lam Nghe An who won 3-0 over Dak Lak. With a 5-0 result, Dong Tam Long An sent Binh Phuong home empty-handed. Their quarter-final rival is Dong Nai who beat Can Tho 3-1. SHB Da Nang won 1-0 over Thanh Hoa and will meet Hai Phong in the next round.

After the 1/8 round, there is no V. League 2 team in the National Cup competition. — VNS
